Watch QC: Case Size, Strap Fit and Shipping Questions

A watch listing combines several different questions: what the watch looks like, how it fits, what movement it uses and whether it can travel on the selected route. Keep those questions separate so an appealing dial photo does not stand in for missing specifications.

Write the exact configuration

Record the selected dial, case finish, strap or bracelet, stated movement and included accessories. If the seller offers several movement options in one listing, confirm which option your price buys. Keep the source model reference separate from any directory style code.

For fit, request the relevant case width, thickness, lug-to-lug length and strap range. State whether case width includes the crown. The same nominal diameter can feel different when other dimensions change.

A bracelet may need adjustment after receipt. Ask about the supplied links and adjustment method rather than assuming the photographed fit will match your wrist.

Use photos for what they can show

The following is SUGARGOOX's editorial checklist, not a watch test we have performed. Check the selected configuration, visible markings, overall condition, hands, dial alignment, case surfaces and strap or clasp attachment.

Ask for a closer image if reflections obscure a possible scratch or alignment issue. A single angled photograph can exaggerate or hide a small difference. Keep the concern specific so the next image answers it.

A still image cannot establish accuracy, power reserve, water resistance or long-term operation. If a seller provides a test result, ask which item was tested, by what method and on what date. Keep the original record rather than restating the claim as independently verified.

Ask shipping questions before purchasing

Tell the agent whether the selected watch is mechanical, quartz or electronic, and supply any stated battery details. Ask which current routes accept that exact item and packaging. A clothing-only quote does not answer this question.

For a watch needing a battery or special handling, ask the provider to confirm the available service and any necessary packing. Do not assume an old community example describes today's acceptance rules.

Decide whether the original presentation box is important. Its dimensions should be included when comparing a retained-box parcel with an alternative protective arrangement.

Retain the evidence that travels with the order

Save the source configuration, seller claims, relevant documents, QC images and agreed packing. If provenance matters, seek credible purchase and authorisation records; appearance alone cannot establish authenticity.

At receipt, check that the delivered configuration and accessories match the order before discarding packaging. Describe any problem using those saved details and contact the relevant service provider through the order record.
